Biafrans has successfully boycotted the Anambra governorship elections.

Empty roads and deserted polling stations earmarked the Anambra state governorship elections held as more than 98% of the registered voters boycotted the election entirely. They instead sat at home enjoying the now famous Ofe Nsala. Pictures and Videos hardly lie.

It is equally important to note that some United Nations representatives were in Anambra state to witness the election boycott themselves.

We at Restore Biafra congratulate our people for a job well done. We are no longer part of the Zoo called Nigeria. We are one people.

 This prospect for hope for a genuine dialogue and negotiations have been dashed and rejected.  The world knows that PANDEF as team of critical stakeholders was mandated to engender a genuine dialogue and negotiations process that will be made of apolitical committed Niger  Deltans to engage with the  government and people of Nigeria, representatives of the International Oil Corporations and neutral observers. But this government decides to go around to politicising and blackmailing the process to forestall any genuine dialogue and negotiations.

The world should be assured that, our next line of actions to redeem Operations Red Economy will be unannounced with surely overwhelming signatures to this government and humanity. The world is aware that, the government of Nigeria has ear problems but we never knew that it has taken a deteriorating deaf  level dimensions. It is only through hard knocks we can speak to the Nigerian government henceforth.

It is our believes that, the 2017 national budget of the federal republic of Nigeria is not based on the crude oil production output from the Niger Delta but it is based on the newly found oil deposits in the North and the new pipelines construction from the Niger Republic. Buhari has planned to deploy only Igbo soldiers in ijaw to create enmity among Biafrans.

Many political and social commentators in the Old Eastern Region of Nigeria have described the move by the present All Progressive Congress led Government to deploy majority of Igbo Soldiers to combat the uprising of militant in Niger Delta region as a trick to further divide the region and create enmity between the two major clan; Igbo and Ijaw whose relationship was injured during the civil war but healed by Goodluck Jonathan.

While speaking with EASTERN RADIO on the recent incident which took place at a command under 82nd Division of the Nigerian Army in Enugu, an elders states man and Honorable member in the House of Representative during the Second Republic who pleaded unanimity told our news crew that divid and rule has been an old philosophy handed to the North by the Britain and it has been working for them.

He further stated that the brutal incident should be enough an eye-opener to every Igbo and Ijaw man on the kind of war games the North and West are playing with the people from the Old Eastern Region. "The lives of those gallant soldiers that where lost in the uproar is regrettable but i see it as a collateral damage necessary for all of us to have an idea of the latest game plans being deployed by the North to remotely control us here".

" It is saddening to know that Buhari-led government which should have continued with the legacy of unity and economic explosion left behind by his predecessor Goodluck Jonathan have chosen to impose on us a script written in the North, characterized by division, subjugation, derivation, Islamization and economic terrorism". " The APC led government are failing in their constitutional duty to ameliorate the suffering of a common man rather they have succeeded in further dividing the country along ethnic line". Their body language shows things will get worse in the nearest future" he added.

Also in a telephone interview, an Ijaw Man; Comrade Baratuipre Godspower told EASTERN RADIO that Nigeria is already experiencing great difficulties in its combat with freedom fighters in the river-line areas – the creeks (the place Nigeria calls Niger Delta). "Our offence is that we now demand to be free from the suffocating presence of Nigerian occupation forces in our land". "We are no longer in the business of militancy, we are now Biafra freedom fighters, but Nigeria government still label us militants", he said.

"Buhari, APC and their Western allies are experiencing difficulties in controlling Niger Delta area of Biafra Land. We are very much aware of their plans to mare our good relationship with our brothers (The Igbos). They feel threatened and think the efficient way is to deepen its divide-and-rule; a strategy is to create enmity between us by deploying only Igbo soldiers to our communities for us to fight each other", he continued.

Opinions collected in the social media by our Reporters is no different with the above analysis. Some are of the view that Buhari led government hope to use it as a Technic to dilute the ongoing agitation for Biafra within the region. Research have shown the Igbos and the Ijaws have combined forces in the quest to restore the Republic of Biafra. That Nigerian government are not happy with.

They believed that Biafrans fighting against Nigerian forces in the creeks were only Ijaws and so they needed to pitch the Igbo against them. Put in a different way, they were playing at setting Igbo-speaking Biafrans to fight against Ijaw-speaking Biafrans. This was what triggered off the reported shooting in Enugu among Nigerian Army personnel.

One of the 54, saddened by the development had sought to know the criteria used in throwing-up only Igbo-speaking Biafrans for the assignment. One of the commanders picked offense and demanded to know where he got the cheek from to ask such a question when given a military order. In rising anger, he pulled out his gun and shot the young soldier on the forehead, killing him on the spot. Another soldier who is among the enlisted soldiers could not contain himself; he pulled his own gun out and took down the commander, killing him on the spot too. Then directed the gun on the second commander before the GOC saved the day curtailing further deterioration of the situation.

The message to all Biafrans today is that they must do everything humanly possible to resist attempts by Nigeria to push them against themselves. Both in the military in the barrack and at the war front. Biafrans must conduct themselves in full understanding of the evil in Nigeria.

If Nigeria must fight any Biafran group, either in a media war or in a shooting war, Biafrans must be wise enough not to allow themselves to be used. If Nigeria wants a shooting war in its attempt to resolve a problem, which could easily be resolved through peaceful means, they should do so without involving Biafrans.

Biafrans must be wiser today, and stand together.

If Nigeria cannot tolerate Biafra, She should let her go by C. K. Ekeke As a student of leadership and leaders, I can conclude without bias, even though President Buhari is only 10 months in office, that he has failed woefully as a leader and may go down in history as the worst Nigerian President and probably ranking second to brutal dictator Idi Amin of Uganda because of his flagrant abuse of rule of law, massive killings, clamp down of his opposition and imprisonment of innocent Nigerians across the land.

I have taken time to analyze his media speech of last December, how and what he said about Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader – Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, Ndgibo and now on pro Biafra youths this week during his interview on Al Jazeera while in Qatar, all sum up to the kind of nonsensical tribal leaders that Nigerians elect and the shameless mistake that the Nigeria State has become.

President Buhari’s utterances regarding the issue of Ndigbo, IPOB and its leader, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu are bereft of any wisdom as a 72 year old man. It also shows his hatred for Ndigbo and SE region. I’m careful to say that Nigeria has made a grave mistake to elect Buhari as their President. He is a dictator and a tribal leader. That’s not what Nigeria needs in the 21stcentury. At a time when nations are tapping into the limitless opportunities of technology, innovation and collaboration, we do not need a tribalist and dictator to divide and move us back to dark ages but rather to advance the nation through its diversity, strength and abundant resources. Nigeria needed a visionary and unifier.

And by the way, the President is on the wrong side of history. Perhaps, he has not studied history to know that dreams, freedom, liberty, justice, etc. cannot be quashed like that. Since independence, Nigeria has floundered without vision and purpose. Nigeria is a failed State and there’s no hope for her if she continues on its current path and policies.

A restructured nation, or in the case of Ndigbo – Biafra is an alternative hope for millions of unemployed youths who live in distressed region without infrastructure, jobs, and future. The Nigerian State has not offered them any hope but instead massacre. Biafra youths want to live in a nation where they can pursue their God-given dream and purpose; where they can fulfil their God-given potential. They want to live in freedom where they can release their God-given potential. Today, that aspiration, their lives and destinies are denied, or under siege and caged.

Speaking of freedom, Samuel Bowles, Professor Emeritus at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, USA wrote, “The cause of freedom is the cause of God.”

The Apostle Paul writes, “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by the yoke of slavery” – Galatians 5:1. Second Corinthians 3:17, “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” The late leadership guru and writer, Dr. Myles Munroe, in his bestseller, “The Burden of Freedom,” writes, “The pursuit of freedom is the greatest pursuit of the human heart.

Everyone cries for freedom and desires to be free.” Human freedom is the supreme goal and value of true democracies around the world. Despite this yearning to be free; billions of people especially in Africa and other third-world countries are denied of it. Why is it different in Nigeria/Africa?

The U.S. President John F. Kennedy, once said, “The cost of freedom is always high but Americans have always paid for it. And one path we shall never choose and that is the path of surrender, or submission.”

I want to inform President Buhari that time is up for Africans to be free. He should lead that cause in Africa starting with his won country Nigeria – instead of putting people in chains using his crude and uncivilized military force while hundreds are being killed and thousands injured.

Since he became President of Nigeria 10 months ago, thousands of innocent Nigeria’s have been massacred and millions fled their homes leaving behind their jobs and businesses. Across the landscape, all we see and read is violence, killings, massacre and death. What a nation!

As a leader, Buhari has not shown any judgement, temperament and wisdom to address the social and political unrest brewing up in the country. I hope he’s prepared to wage the insurgency, violence and perhaps ultimately war because he cannot deny people freedom for so long and expect them to live in bondage, captivity, and slavery for eternity.

That has never been the condition of human beings or groups of people and nations. If he continues leading this way he is going about the challenges and crises facing the nation and his government, he may lead Nigeria to disintegration and abyss. I hope he has built plenty prisons and enough army to fight millions of Biafrans around the globe, who are just fed up with systemic marginalization and satanic conspiracy against their region.

While former heads of State like Alhaji Shehu Shagari, General Gowon, and thoughtful Nigerians like Wole Soyinka as well as others have called for peace, unity and for the President to trade softly and address the issue of Biafra and other concerns, he chose rather to ignore the wise call, dismiss it by calling it a joke, instead sends his Boko haram soldiers to kill innocent Biafra youths in SE/SS regions and thinks he can get away with such impunity and incivility.

Nigeria has never been a nation. Every truthful Nigerian knows that the nation is fundamentally flawed. That’s why President Goodluck Jonathan organized a national conference to address the imbalances and injustices of the federal government against her variant groups of people.

Here are some of the immortal words of Nigeria’s nationalist and founding fathers: “Since 1914 the British Government has been trying to make Nigeria into one country, but the Nigerian people themselves are historically different in their backgrounds, in their religious beliefs and customs and do not show themselves any signs of willingness to unite … Nigerian unity is only a British invention” – Alhaji Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, 1948.

“Nigeria is not a nation. It is a mere geographical expression. There are no ‘Nigerians’ in the same sense as there are ‘English,’ ‘Welsh,’ or ‘French,’ The word ‘Nigeria’ is a mere distinctive appellation to distinguish those who live within the boundaries of Nigeria and those who do not” – Chief Obafemi Awolowo, 1947.

“It is better for us and many admirers abroad that we should disintegrate in peace and not in pieces. Should the politicians fail to heed the warning, then I will venture the prediction that the experience of the Democratic Republic of Congo will be a child’s play if it ever comes to our turn to play such a tragic role” – Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, 1964.

I totally agree with the forefathers in what they said about Nigeria. Nigeria is not a nation. The amalgamation was an experiment that expired in January 2014. Nigeria needs to be re-negotiated. It’s an evil enterprise created by the British for their selfish and political hegemony in Africa.

Moreover, Nigeria is also ruled by selfish, hypocritical and profusely corrupt individuals. They are haters of human development and progress. They are the real problem – not really the poor and struggling masses – and that’s why it’ll continue to flounder. Nigeria is under siege and needs to be saved.

Nigeria will never work as constituted. I’m for one true united and peace-loving nation but not as constituted currently. We have to be sincere, say the truth and speak out courageously about these things and stay engaged because of our young ones and future generation. And the fear is that Nigeria will never change or deal with their challenges in a civilized manner, but will rather resort to path of violence and war.

1. Former Soviet Union: between 1989 and 1990s divided into 15 republic—Azerbaijan, Georgia, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Russia, Uzbekistan, Moldova, Ukraine, Belorussia, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, and Kirgizia.

2. Former Federal Republic of Yugoslavia ended in 1991 and 6 countries—Bosnia, Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia (including the regions of Kosovo and Vojvodina) and Slovenia. Today, those six nations are prospering in peace.

3. Ethiopia and Eritrea in 1991 and Eritrea were granted rights to its own government. In fact, today Ethiopia and Eritrea are living in peace, harmony, and prospering.

4. South Sudan became independent from Sudan in 2011 following a referendum that passed with 98.83% of the vote by the people and facilitated by the United Nations and African Union.

5. Quebec is currently asking from independence from Canada.

6. Scotland is asking for independence from Britain.

So why is Biafra’s case different – a region that covers a total area of almost 30,000 square miles, thus almost as big as Gambia and Sierra Leone put together, bigger than Togo, Rwanda and Burundi combined, and is four times the size of the Republic of Israel – the top #3 technological and innovative nation on the planet.

And finally, we know about India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, and Tibet – all these nations used to part of the Indian empire in the past.

Why is Biafra’s case any different? Why does Nigeria want Biafra to remain in perpetual slavery in Nigeria by force, while continue to treat her like trash and nobodies and deny her people their God-given potential, productivity, progress and purpose? Do you force someone to remain in adulterous marriage? Even God in His infinite grace permitted divorce between married couples and nations.

Moreover, Biafra region and its people fulfills the requirements of the United Nations Charter for self-determination. I just don’t understand why we can’t do things as civilized people in Nigeria/Africa. It’s baffling and shameful.

Nigerian forces continues the killing and maiming of Biafrans.

Today at Aba, a young Biafran protesting peacefully for the release of Nnamdi Kanu and freedom for Biafra was brutally shot dead by the Nigerian forces sent by Buhari.

Another young protester was strangled and dumped by the road-side.

This is appalling but will not stop Biafrans from protesting.

Biafra becomes AU member: ECOSOCC

Agitators for the actualization of the state of Biafra have revealed their admission as members of the Economic, Social and Cultural Council (ECOSOCC) General Assembly of the African Union (AU). This is even as they stated that notable Igbo leaders were still in court with the Federal Government of Nigeria over rights to self-determination.

Going by this development, according to a document made available on-line and countersigned by the solicitor of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Emeka Adolf Chigozie, the actualization of Biafra is now taken up by elders and professionals in Igbo land, home and abroad, including Ohanaeze Ndigbo chieftains, using a legal framework outside the Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) method.

The document read in part: “The skepticism and doubts expressed by some people, like Mr. Kalu Onu­ma, who asked the question, ‘Are you guys for real or you’ve been smoking something?” Our solicitor has decided to countersign this announcement and include his professional details. It is unfortunate that the pro-Biafran groups, which started the Biafran independence movement many years ago, did not follow due process of law and thereby, brought disgrace and ridicule upon a genuine self-determination struggle of indigenous people of Biafra that should be anchored on law. At the moment, the Biafran independence movement has taken a new shape. It is no longer in the hands of charlatans and fraudsters or blind leaders of the blind. It is now in the hands of intellectuals, professionals and diplomats.

“We are presently in Court with Nigeria in Suit No. FHC/OW/ CS/192/2013 at the Federal High Court, Owerri. We sued Nigeria in a representative capacity by Bilie Human Rights Initiative because Biafra is not yet a sovereign entity that can sue or be sued. We are discussing with powerful governments in the international community. “The Biafran struggle is now led by the elders of Biafra­land. The Chairman is, the Honourable Justice Eze Ozobu, OFR, the founding father and founding Presi­dent of Ohanaeze Ndigbo. The Deputy Chairman is Dr. Dozie Ikedife, Ikenga Nnewi, JP, OON; the Secretary is Col. Joe Achuzia. Other members of the Governing Council are drawn from all parts of Biafraland, including South East, parts of South-South and parts of the Middle Belt being the land of Biafra, as shown in the Ancient Map of Biafra 1660 and 1707, which we have filed in court.”

DR. FRANCIS AKANU IBIAM

TO HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH II

I am deeply and humbly constrained to present you with this letter. For many years, indeed throughout my mature life, I had been a proud but disinterested admirer of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and her peoples. The history of Your Majesty’s country is replete with heroism, discoveries which were near miracles, and institutions of higher learning of the most outstanding character and achievement. Britain, though insular and small in size and capacity, had centuries ago proved conclusively, to the world that for any community and nation to reach the acme of greatness and respectability, it is not quantity that counts but quality and the type of people who make up the nation.

British Christians had the privilege and honour of evangelizing not only a good part of Africa, my own continent, but also a greater part of the rest of the world. Her missionaries, men and women, left home and kindred and comfortable life, to spread Christianity far and wide in areas of the world where, for want of a better description, life was anything but civilized in the Western sense of the word, civilization. They endured lack of scientifically purified water, electric or gas light. They trekked long miles of single-file roads, endured our moist heat and drenching rains, the nuisance of mosquitoes, and sand flies and other indigenous African insects. In the earlier days of missionary venture, they imported tons of tinned foodstuffs and cared nothing for their lives so long as they could preach the Gospel and its Good News, heal the sick, and bring education and enlightenment to the people. The result of this effective humanitarian service, supported financially, morally, and prayerfully by the Churches way back in their homeland, has born exceedingly abundant fruit, and for us in Biafra (formerly Eastern Nigeria), their work has, by grace of God, made our homeland as much a Christian country as any other reputed countries of the world.

Despite annoying treatment meted to me and my fellow African students now and again in certain quarters, I was highly impressed with the religious life of the people of Britain, particularly in Scotland, where I lived and studied in the University of St. Andrews for seven years in one of the coldest parts of the United Kingdom. Altogether, I resided in Britain for ten long years. And having seen their homeland and lived in this Christian atmosphere in which they grew up, the self-denial and self-sacrifice of Christian Missionary came home to me very forcibly, I drew much inspiration from their splendid example, and my understanding and realization of the full meaning and significance of the Christian life dawned on me with great sense of joy and thankfulness.

After taking my medical degrees, therefore, I offered my services to the Foreign Mission Committee (now the Overseas Council) of the Church of Scotland, Edinburgh. I joined the Church of Scotland Medical Service, Calabar Mission, Nigeria, and served the mission and its offspring, the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, from February 1, 1936 to January 31, 1967. With the consent and approval of the Overseas Council, I was on leave of absence without pay during the last five years, December 1960, to January 1965, of my missionary service, while I was Governor of Eastern Nigeria. As the only Nigerian among a group of some seventy European Missionaries for twenty five years, the going was in the main, stiff and at various times, I felt most frustrated and unhappy. For although Missionaries inspired me without knowing it themselves, I regret to say that, by and large, they did not encourage me. Such a situation did not bother me, however, because I was inwardly happy to serve my people in this unique capacity, and I was not going to quit, come weal, come woe, until, like other missionaries, I had served my turn for thirty years or reached the age of sixty years. If European missionaries, I argued within me, could leave their well-ordered homeland and ease of life, more or less, and where they could make a name for themselves academically or otherwise, and came to my homeland where amenities of life in the European background were hardly existent, I did not see any reason why I, an African, could not follow in their footsteps and serve my own people in my own country under conditions which called for naked hardship and demanded much self denial and self sacrifice.

In 1949 New Year Honours Awards, Your Majesty’s revered and late father, His Majesty King George the sixth, graciously conferred on me the honour to be an Officer of the Civil Division of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (O.B.E) for services to the Church and State. Again, in the New Year Honours, 1951, he conferred on me the dignity to be a Knight Commander of the Civil Division of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (K.B.E) for selfless service to the Church and my country. I happened to be in London at this time as a special guest of the British Council, and when I was invited by a Buckingham Palace Official to present myself before His Majesty to receive the insignia and accolate of Knighthood, I begged permission to have them conferred on me on my return home to Nigeria. I did receive the insignia and certificate at the hands of His Excellency the then Governor of Nigeria, Sir John Macpherson, but I had the unique distinction and singular privilege of receiving the accolade from Your Majesty’s august person during your Majesty’s Royal and memorable visit to Nigeria in February, 1956. On the attainment and independence of Nigeria and sovereignty by Nigeria on October 1, 1960, Your Majesty was graciously pleased to appoint me as Governor of Eastern Nigeria within the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the recommendation of the Honourable Premier of Eastern Nigeria with the assent of his Excellency the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. In August 1962, Your Majesty conferred on me the dignity of being a Knight Commander of the Civil Division of the Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.).

For these great honours and special recognitions, I am humbly grateful to Your Majesty and Your Majesty's Britannic Government. They are a happy reflection of the importance of Africa and her people before God and man. Howbeit, I must renounce all of them at this time. I do so to register the strongest protest at my command against Your Majesty's Government of United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland for supplying military equipment and arms to Nigeria which has waged a senseless and futile war of aggression against my country, the Republic of Biafra. My objection and protest are directed solely and entirely to the British Government because I believe that the staunch British friends of Africa, particularly the CHURCH, and informed British public opinion will deplore this unkindly act of the British Government to the Republic of Biafra. With the highest sense of responsibility, therefore, and bearing clearly in my own mind the moral issues which are at stake, and my own stand thereat, I return the insignia and paraphernalia of my title to Your Majesty’s Britannic Government through the British Deputy High Commissioner who is resident here in Enugu - the capital city of the Republic of Biafra.

During the months of May, July, August, and September, 1966, Northern Nigerian soldiers and civilians planned and committed the most atrocious crimes against Eastern Nigerians—now citizens of the Republic of Biafra. Sadistically, brutally and in cold blood, they murdered and slaughtered thousands of my brothers and sisters who were then living in Northern Nigeria and other parts of the former and defunct Federal Republic of Nigeria. Sadistically, brutally and in cold blood, they murdered and slaughtered thousands of my brothers and sisters who were then living in Northern Nigeria and other parts of the former and defunct Federal Republic of Nigeria. They killed innocent children, helpless women, and defenseless men without any reason or rhyme. They entered churches and hospitals and slaughtered them in cold blood. And most unbelievably yet only too true, they massacred women in actual LABOUR and their unborn children. They plundered, looted, assaulted and raped women and burnt down the homes of Easterners and left them penniless.

The most painful and unsoldierly act of all was that these Northern Nigerian soldiers killed their superior officers, including and especially His Excellency the Military Governor of Western Nigeria, Lt. Col. Francis Adekunle Fajuyi, and his guest and comrade, His Excellency, the Head of Supreme Military Council and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the former Federal Republic of Nigeria, Major-General J.T.U. Aguiyi-Ironsi, both of them of blessed memory. On July 29, 1966, they were kidnapped by Northern Nigerian soldiers and ruthlessly killed after torturing them. It must be stated here that the late Major-General J.T.U. Aguiyi-Ironsi, an Eastern Nigerian at that time, went all out to build up ONE UNITED AND STRONG NIGERIA through a unitary Government Administration, but paradoxically and ironically, he met a cruel and untimely death for that very reason. It is very strange, therefore, that Nigeria should be futilely waging a war of aggression against Biafra in her impossible bid to force Biafra back into this very same union—One Nigeria from which she had been so purposely and systematically forced out. Be that as it may, all kith and kin fled Northern Nigeria, Western Nigeria, and Lagos and returned to their homeland of Eastern Nigeria, the only place they knew they could have protection. In the process, Eastern Nigeria was left to look after and cater for at least two million refugees, and she has done and is doing so with commendable achievement. Eastern Nigeria did not retaliate in any way, for we do not kill strangers within our gates, and being humble and sensitive Christians, we refused to commit murder, contrary to the commandment of God, particularly as we believe that two wrongs can never make a right. Northern Nigerians in Eastern Nigeria were therefore collected together and escorted safely by train across the border to their own section of Nigeria.

In the succeeding months, the Hausa/Fulani controlled Lagos Government of Nigeria purposely, directly, and inexorably forced Eastern Nigeria out of the Federation, and our Military Governor with advice and consent of out Consultative Assembly had no other choice but to declare Eastern Nigeria a free, independent and sovereign state to be known as the Republic of Biafra. This happy and historical occasion took place on May 30. On July 6th, Nigeria attacked Biafra in her mad wish to force Biafra to return to the Nigeria federation. Having killed 30,000 of us in their land and seized our property worth millions of pound sterling, they have now come to kill more of us in our own homes and make the rest of us slaves to the Hausa/Fulani Feudalists and Moslems.

The people of Biafra are, therefore, fighting a war of LIBERATION AND SURVIVAL. We adamantly refuse to be colonized by the Hausa/Fulanis of Northern Nigeria or any other people in the world. Moreover it is an ardent desire of the Hausa/Fulani and Moslem Northern Nigeria to subjugate Biafra and kill Christianity in our country.

Your Majesty, the British officials in Nigeria are fully aware of all these. They know that we are injured and deeply grieved people and had been cruelly treated by our erstwhile fellow citizens of Federal Republic of Nigeria. The British officials not only knew the crux of the matter, but they also encouraged Northern Nigeria to carry out and execute their nefarious plan against us. They are angry with Biafra because Biafra categorically refused to remain as part of the Nigeria federation and political unit only to be trampled upon, discriminated against and hated, ruthlessly exploited and denied her rights and privileges, and slaughtered whenever it suited the whims and caprices of the favoured people of Northern Nigeria. To add insult to injury, Your Majesty’s Britannic Government, instead of being neutral in our quarrels or finding ways and means to mediate and bring peace to the two countries, has now taken it upon herself to supply military aid to Nigeria to help them defeat and subjugate Biafra.

It is simply staggering for a Christian country like Britain to help a Moslem country militarily to crush another Christian country like Biafra. This is just too much for me, Your Gracious Majesty, this act of unfriendliness and treachery by the British Government towards the people of Republic of Biafra who, as Eastern Nigerians, had so much regard for Britain and British people.

In the circumstance, Your Majesty, I no longer wish to wear the garb of the British Knighthood. British fairplay, British justice, and the Englishman’s word of honour which Biafra loved so much and cherished have become meaningless to Biafrans in general and to me in particular. Christian Britain has shamelessly let down Christian Biafra.

I love the Republic of Biafra very dearly and pray that, by grace of God, she may remain and continue to grow and live and always act like a truly Christian country for all times.

Confusion in Osun; Baptist High School.

Since Monday, 3rd February, pupils of the Baptist High School, Iwa Osun state has created drama of various kinds. The most visible of the confusion is wearing of the hijab by the muslim pupils and choir robes by the christian pupils, in place of the normal school uniform. The recent classification policy by the state governor has been reported to be the root cause of this confusion. It is indeed funny to see such scene.

Analysis:

Going by the name of the school, one can easily infere that it was originally a christian dominated school. That notwithstanding, school uniform should be school uniform, nothing more nothing less. A lot of people that I have talked to on this issue said that the whole scenario is part of a bigger agenda; islamization of Nigeria. The truth is that it is impossible to see christians enroll in an islamic school in Nigeria. What's your take on this?

Why we need Biafra now or Never.

The reason why Biafrans all over the world should take back their country.

Biafra again? Why now? These and many more has been the questions of many observers. The major reason why Biafra should be restored now is that history is repeating itself again. The killing of Biafrans living in the Northern part of Nigeria which has continued unreported has escalated. The worst part of it is that the bodies are never released to the family members for the fear of reprisal attacks. If you check back on the cause of the events that led to the civil war (1967-1970), you will agree with me that history is about to repeat itself.

The Stage is set.

The present political situation in Nigeria warrants that the country review its arrangement on carrying on. But the fact that the entity called Nigeria has legally seized to exist cannot be overemphasized. The amalgamation (100 years experiment) to form Nigeria ended January 1, 2014. We cannot dispute this fact. Is it because it was for 100 years? What if it was 10 years? Will the people of Nigeria have quickly forgotten?

The Biafrans in diaspora has risen.

Some Biafrans is diaspora has woken up the reality of the imminent restoration of the Sovereign State of Biafra. In a manner that has never been seen before, Biafrans all over the world are meeting in cell groups of various sizes under the auspices of radio Biafra London. This particular campaign garnered quite a substantial amount of momentum towards the end of 2013 when a radio transmitter that worth more than £80,000 was purchased with the money contributed by thousands of Biafrans worldwide (especially those living in Malaysia) exempting those in Africa. Those were the Biafrans who the opportunity to listen to the internet radio at that time. The idea buying the radio transmitter and sending it to Biafraland was contributed over the radio by one Chika Ekeh; a Biafran man who resides in Germany at that time. The purpose was for the Biafrans to be able to tell their own story by themselves and not the foreign media who often have little or no clue. It help in sensitising the Biafrans about their threatened identity and tell them who they are and where they come from. To be continued ...
