Nnamdi Kanu: Ongoing court case and Justice Nyako's Lie

In the ongoing case, the Federal High Court seems to have contradicted itself in a ruling made on the trial of Nnamdi Kanu.

Visitors to the courtroom including journalists and security operatives were shielded behind a wall of fabric used to cover the lawyers, defendants, judges and witnesses.
Only one prison operative was shielded alongside others.

On December 14, the court had ruled that criminal trial against Kanu and three others - Benjamin Nwabugwu, David Nwawuisi and Chidibere Onwudiwe - commence today, January 10.

Justice Binta Nyako in her ruling said the witnesses that will be brought in by the Department of State Security to testify against the defendants will be protected.

Nyako had said: “The counsels and the defendants will see the witnesses. The witnesses will have special entrances to and outside the court."

"It is not going to be a secret trial," Nyako said.

She had also said the witnesses names will be protected and marked with alphabets.

However, contrary to its ruling on protecting the witnesses, the court during the trial shielded the defence and prosecution counsels, witnesses and the defendants from the public.

Meanwhile, before the trial commenced, a group of pro-Biafra protesters in Jewish garments had besieged the court, demanding that the trial of Kanu be in the open.

But security did not allow the protesters to enter the court – a situation which generated tension.

THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT IS WORKING WITH MUHAMMADU BUHARI TO ADMINISTER NON-TRACEABLE POISON ON NNAMDI KANU TO STOP ONGOING DAMAGING VIDEOS AND CLASSIFIED INFORMATION LEAKS ON BRITISH GOVERNMENT

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) can confirm that the British Government is working in tandem with Retired Major General Muhammadu Buhari to stealthily administer a non-traceable poison on the leader of IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Our intelligence gathering team revealed that one of the reasons for embarking on this heinous crime by both the British Government and the serial killer called Buhari is to stop the avalanche of leaked videos and some classified information which incontrovertibly placed the British Government as an accessory to genocide on Biafrans. Another reason is to ensure that Nnamdi Kanu is dead before Mr. Donald J. Trump takes over as the 45th President of the USA. We have also confirmed that should the plan to poison Nnamdi Kanu fail, a phantom road accident will be arranged for the vehicle conveying Nnamdi Kanu to court on any of the court days beginning from Tuesday, 10th of January 2017.

What bothers us in IPOB is the fact that Biafrans are Christians and a sizeable proportion of whom are Anglican denomination including the parents of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, which was where they baptized and christened him “Kenneth“ or “Kenny“ for short. So, as a child and in accordance with Anglican prayer book, NnamdiKanu grew up praying for the safety and well-being of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles and all their heirs. But the question we ask the British Government is this; Why would Britain, a supposedly Christian country and a proclaimed member of the body of Christ, be supporting people of Islamic faith such as Buhari to kill Biafrans and enthrone servitude in Biafraland?

From where is this British Government hatred on fellow Christians of Biafran descent coming? Perhaps, the British Government must tell the world what we, Biafrans, did to them that makes them hate us so much. Is it because we accepted Christianity that they see us as inferior beings or is it the fact that we have English names that made them see us as people without a proud identity? Even the undersigned of this press release still bear their English names and append same on all documents both personal and corporate.

Why would the British Government want Nnamdi Kanu dead in spite of the fact that he is a British citizen? Or is it in line with the British Government’s standard practice of hating every African freedom fighter? Recall that both Margaret Thatcher and David Cameron called Nelson Mandela a terrorist and demanded he should be hanged. In like manner,  the British Government is now pushing for Nnamdi Kanu to be jailed by Buhari’s sister and incompetent Judge, Mrs. Binta Nyako. This hatred for African freedom fighters, especially those of the Christian faith, by the British Government is very surprising considering that these are Africans who willingly accepted Christianity. What is it in Islam that the British Government discovered which makes them abandon their fellow Christians and connive with Muslims to oppress and kill these Christians on a continual basis?

We would like to use this opportunity to caution the British Government to retrace their steps and terminate their plans to kill Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. We are also putting the world on notice that should anything happen to Nnamdi Kanu or those detained with him and elsewhere in Nigeria, the British Government shall be held directly responsible for their deaths. We reassure the world that the restoration of the nation of Biafra is a divine project whose time has come.

Both Muhammadu Buhari and the Biafra-hating British Government are incapable of stopping the restoration of the nation of Biafra and 2017 is the year that kick-starts the restoration process. To stop the restoration of the nation of Biafra, the British Government will have to kill over 70 million Biafrans who have sworn to restore their God-given nation.

We reiterate that the sovereignty of the nation of Biafra is not negotiable, come rain or shine!!!

Fani-Kayode: Nnamdi Kanu is ready to sacrifice everything

Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has expressed profound opinion of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, stating that contrary to all expectations, he is the most courageous, powerful and credible Igbo leader in Nigeria today.

Recounting his encounter with Kanu in the cell during his 29-day detention, Fani- Kayode said that Kanu “is not just a combination of Owelle Nnamdi Azikwe and Dim Emeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu: he is a combination of Azikwe, Ojukwu and Major Kaduna Nzeogwu all rolled into one and no government can repress him.”

Fani-Kayode, who declined an interview with Sunday Telegraph, but made available the second part of his paper titled “The Spirit and Soul of Nnamdi Kanu,” said of his meeting with the ‘freedom fighter, Kanu’. “I was amazed at his depth of knowledge, his immense courage and his deep convictions.”

Justifying his position, the former Minister, who was recently granted bail in a case of money laundering said: “I have associated with, met and worked with many men of influence and power since I joined politics 30 years ago but this one was different.

This was a man that had what I would describe as a Mahatma Ghandi-like quality. That is to say he is one that is prepared to sacrifice everything and anything for his beliefs, his people and his cause.”

He said that during the encounter, they discussed their respective views about Nigeria: “Our collective history, the suffering and marginalisation of our respective people, the reptilian and violent nature of the Nigerian state, the present dispensation and the way forward.

“Nnamdi and I, rather like Che Guevera and Fidel Castro at the beginning of the Cuban revolution, connected immediately and he won my trust, respect and admiration. If there is anyone that can truly build the much needed bridge between the South-West, the South-South and the South- East it is Nnamdi Kanu,” Fani-Kayode said.

Apparently aware that he stirred the hornet’s nest by that description of Kanu, currently in detention over allegations of treason, Fani-Kayode said: “I believe that we must give honour to whom it is due.

Those that are upset at the fact that I spoke highly of the IPOB leader are misguided and, worst still, they lack vision, foresight and insight.

“They not only lack the ability to perceive but they also lack the gift of discernment. Worse of all they are suffering from good old fashioned envy and they have been afflicted with the worst form of ignorance,” He said most of those vilifying him for his comments have never met the man Kanu, let alone know him. “I sat next to him for three solid hours in the most challenging and difficult circumstances.

Like the great William Wallace of Scotland, I have no doubt that if it were necessary he would go as far as to sacrifice his very life in the struggle for freedom and independence for his Igbo people from the Nigerian state and from our internal colonial masters and for the establishment of his beloved Biafra.

“Very few Nigerian leaders have that level of selflessness and commitment and I admire it. I looked deeply into his eyes as we spoke and I touched and weighed his soul. I can tell you, without any fear of contradiction, that he is a profoundly good man who loves his Igbo people  deeply.

He is also well-educated and widely-read and he is a formidable intellectual. “We may not have agreed on everything, but I can tell you this much: he feels and shares the pain of the Igbo and he yearns for their liberation and emancipation from I am increasingly hostile and oppressive Nigeria,” the former Aviation Minister said.

Fani-Kayode added that Kanu is not a politician in the true sense of the word but “rather a freedom fighter and a charismatic leader who has managed to inspire millions of Igbo youth all over the world and that is a good thing.”

He added: “Kanu is a man of great faith and conviction and his rise to prominence is not ordinary but instead prophetic, and he cannot be destroyed or silenced by any government or man born of woman because the Lord is using him.

He is using him to say and do the things that many believe but that are too scared to say or do. Other leaders have had their time in the past and now this is his. He is paying a very heavy price right now for what God will use him for in the future.”

Nnamdi Kanu: Report on the latest outcome of the court proceeding - 5th April

The presiding judge Justice John Tsoho arrived and climbed the bench at about 10:10 am. He proceeded to read out the names of the three accused persons.

S.M Labaran was the first to introduce himself on behalf of the FG. Followed by Chuks Muoma appearing for the defendants with his learned legal team. At this point, Director Nnamdi Kanu just arrived, at about 10:14 am while his lawyer is still introducing his legal team

Chuks Muoma raised a motion for proceedings which was filed on the 7th day of March 2016. Barrister Chuks Muoma told the court that the applicants will rely on the facts contained in the filed application. He said that the letter attached to the affidavit is exhibit MD3. He told the court that the defendants also rely on all the positions in the said affidavit and said, the two written addresses was in pursuant of this affidavit. He informed the court that the second written address attached to the application is dated 22nd March 2016.

At this point, the judge intercepted Barrister Muoma saying that the time allowed for him to make his presentation has elapsed, but Muoma reminded the judge that he, [Muoma] has within 20 minutes to make his presentation and that he has not exhausted the time. But the judge adamantly stopped him from continuing in his presentation.

The Prosecutor in his presentation asked the court to disregard the application submitted by the defendants, describing it as "bias".

Chuks Muoma rose to react to the Prosecuting counsel's plea, citing that it's an adjunct of the right of appeal as stated in section 241(2) of the constitution adding that the law is not hypocritical. Muoma Chuks said his reaction in the court is an act of appeal provided by section 241 subsection one, of the Constitution. The law is not hypocritical, it doesn't do with the right and takes away the right.

Chuks Muoma quoted those sections saying that Section 306 is unconstitutional regarding the case of Kanu. He said that section 306 of the administration of criminal justice act constitution is an aberration to section 214, therefore, its null and void, saying that it's unconstitutional and therefore, cannot stand. He further explained section 306, saying that it's contradictory to that of 214, and saying that it's not done and that he is standing by it.

At this point, there was a grave silence in the court as it seemed that Barrister Chuks Muoma [SAN] has quashed the prosecution's point of argument. Barrister Chuks Muoma [SAN] broke the silence only for the judge, Justice John Tsoho, who could not hide his contempt for Kanu adjourned the court session till Tuesday, 26th April 2016.

Nigerian Bar Association chief condemns denial of bail to Nnamdi Kanu.

Two legal giants based in Onitsha, Anambra state, Ben Okoko, chairman of Idemili branch of Nigerian Bar Association, NBA and Chris Adimora, chairman of Anaocha branch of NBA have vehemently condemned the denial of bail to the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.

They said that as far as they were concerned, Kanu did not commit any offence against any known Nigerian law to have warranted his bail denial and continued detention in the prison custody.

According to Adimora who spoke in a interview with newsmen in his office, yesterday, “the reasons adduced by the prosecution for refusing Kanu bail is not tenable. He did not commit any offence by having dual citizenship. He can’t be refused bail because his charges are still mere allegation which are not yet proven”.

“As far as I know, he continued, Kanu did not commit any offence. They were just fishing for evidence to keep him in jail until they came up with this trump up charge of treasonable felony”.

“That he opened a radio station in a British air wave is not an offence in Nigeria. That he called President Muhammadu Buhari names does not amount to treasonable felon but mere agitation.
He is only expressing and speaking the minds of millions of marginalized Biafrans and that does not amount to treasonable felony as the court states”. Adimora further declared: “I hope they will be gentlemanly enough to produce evidence against him during the trial. The state is not sincere with its citizens or else why did they not bring up all his charges at the initial stage. This treasonable felony charge was brought up on a second thought, after they fail to prove the initial terrorism charge against him, which led to court granting him bail”.

“In summary, he further stated, I must state that the court denied him bail based on the same reason adduced by Buhari during his media chat that Kanu is a dual citizen and we were not surprised that the court eventually came up with the same issue as one of the reasons that led to his bail denial. They are just looking for a charge against him. They used coercive power of state to intimidate him”.

“If James Ibori could be convicted in far away London and thrown into jail because of the offence he committed in Nigeria, courtesy of the extradition treaty existing between Nigeria and Britain, why can’t Britain extradite Kanu or even try him in Britain if he is granted bail in Nigeria and he jumps it and escaped to Britain”?, he asked rhetorically.

Nigeria got a hit from Radio Biafra

The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), on Friday, urged the public to ignore radio Biafra transmission.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Director, Public Affairs of the commission, Alhaji Awwalu Salihu, made available to newsmen in Abuja.
The statement said the commission had become aware of a pirate radio station transmitting seditious and divisive content contrary to the provisions of the Nigeria Broadcasting Code and law.
It assured the public that it was working in conjunction with security forces to track the source of the broadcast.
It urged the public to ignore the inflammatory content of the broadcast and continue to work toward a strong, united and prosperous nation.

Uwazuruike and Cohorts moves to Destroy the Biafra Memorial Cenotaph.

On air at 7:00am (Wednesday, June 4, 2014), on Radio Biafra Special live edition, Ralph Uwazuruike (MASSOB) in connection with Ohaneze and Nigerian government was alleged to have planned an attack on the cenotaph this morning.

The cenotaph which the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra  has built at Hill Top, Ngwo area of Enugu in remembrance of 3.5 million Biafra Fallen Heroes, Heroines and starved-to-death Children.

Nnamdi Kanu; the Director of Radio Biafra announced this morning having got a tip-off of the move from an insider in MASSOB. He said that this is no joke and that they are waiting for them to show up now. He also said that the second phase of the struggle has commenced immediately. The Nigerian government using MASSOB may be ready to pull the trigger because they love sucking blood. Biafrans in diaspora calling in during the broadcast has confirmed readiness to defend their land.

THE BIAFRA CENOTAPH

NEWS UPDATE 6th June, 2014.

A group of men from MASSOB in collaboration with the Nigerian police finally attacked the Cenotaph today breaking the wing of the eagle.

According to Nnamdi Kanu:

"BIAFRA WAR MEMORIAL DESECRATED BY UWAZURUIKE IN COLLABORATION WITH NIGERIA POLICE: Just coming in from the site of Biafra Memorial housing our cenotaph in remembrance of our dead heroes and murdered children where Uwazuruike's thugs in Massob in collaboration with the Nigerian Police attended today in my absence to attack and damage the Eagle the centerpiece of the structure. The cowards struck at exactly 3.30 pm when Osita and Chuka came off the site to go and acquire materials for workers who are still working on finishing the work on the monument. By the time we received the news and went back to the site the cowards had fled. I am awaiting confirmation of the name of the MASSOB coward that led Nigerian Policemen and kidnappers to our sacred monument. Whoever Uwazuruike sent is a dead man walking we are looking for them. MASSOB is an organ of Nigerian Government working to frustrate genuine efforts to restore Biafra. We have reinforced our defences and will be waiting for them when next they come. We were waiting for them! Two days ago they came but could not attack because our men were on ground. Today the cowards came with cover from Nigeria Police, the same police that has been killing them. We are waiting for them next time, work resumes tomorrow morning on the site and I will as always be there."

NEWS UPDATE 8th June, 2014.

On the morning broadcast today, the Director: Nnamdi Kanu confirmed that the Cenotaph; Biafra Monument has been completely defaced by thugs and the Nigerian police. They were paid and misinformed by Ralph Uwazuruike. This Cenotaph is the only thing the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra had ever collectively built in remembrance of the fallen heroes.

Why would the Nigerian police destroy something that has not caused any obstruction to anybody? Indeed Nigeria is trying very hard to hide from its past.

NEWS UPDATE 13th June, 2014.

On the evening broadcast today, the Director of radio Biafra; Nnamdi Kanu confirmed that the Cenotaph has been completely destroyed despite efforts to rebuild it. The destruction was allegedly carried out by Ralp Uwazuruike's men in collaboration with the Nigerian police.
Nnamdi stated that the line has been crossed after giving them the benefit of doubt to see if they will come to their senses. "The culprits will get what they are looking for", he vehemently emphasized. "They shall pay for it". You can recall that the first attacked was launched about a week ago and continued since then.

Commentary:

Uwazuruike and cohorts could be testing the resolve of the Indigenous Peoples Of Biafra worldwide. We cannot say what will befall him and his cohorts. The Cenotaph does not block anyone's view, why would anyone destroy it. They must pay for it in one way or the other. I think the hoodlums are blood-thirsty, maybe now of their own.

Remembrance of 3.6m Biafrans in Nigerian News

The director of Biafra Radio, Nnamdi Kanu has revealed plans by Biafrans all over the world to mourn the 3.6 million Biafrans who were killed during the civil war.

Kanu, who spoke with our correspondent in a telephone interview, also warned that unless the Indigenous People of Biafra are allowed to become a sovereign nation on or before December 31, 2015, there would be dire consequences.

Unfolding plans for the memorial, the director said, “For the very first time, in over 42 years, we are going to remember the over 3. 6 million  people that Nigeria killed with the help of the British.”

We are the only people that failed to remember those that died, until our dear brother, Godswill Akpabio did something about it, and we commend him.

“The reason why he did it is because he listens to Radio Biafra. Every sensible person listens to Radio Biafra. In fact, most people get what is happening all over the world from Radio Biafra, not from any other source. So, on the 30th of May 2014, everywhere in the world, starting from Japan in the East 12 noon, as soon as the sun is directly overhead, we shall hold a two minutes silence for our fallen people. As the sun is hitting midday on every time zone across the length and breadth of this earth, we shall remember them. We want to tell the world that we have presence on every time zone in the world”.

He also gave an insight on the strength of the media organisation, “Radio Biafra is the mouth piece of the Indigenous People of Biafra. We are in over 88 countries around the world, and that is where we derive our strength and formidability from. It’s the mouth piece for every Biafran in the world. If you are a Biafran, Radio Biafra is your radio”.

He also lambasted the leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra( MASSOB), Chief Ralph Uwazurike, whom he described as a traitor used by enemies of Biafra to ensure that the struggle is frustrated, adding that the man has betrayed those who believed in him and goes about collecting hand-outs from politicians.

Pilgrimage To Igbo Landing St. Simon Island Georgia, USA.

Every person born Igbo or of Biafran extraction must endeavour to visit this hallowed stretch of Creek Point in Savannah St. Simon Island Georgia USA at least once in their lifetime. I performed this pilgrimage to honour the foremost freedom fighters mankind has ever known. On this far away land in USA Biafrans became the first people on earth to sacrifice their life rather than be slave to white Europeans in America. Their defiance is a testament to who we are as a people and is the singular incident that shaped my consciousness as a 17 year old when I was acquainted with Alex Hailey's master class ROOTS. After reading this book I vowed to visit the spot where these heroes of freedom fighting met their death in stoic defence of the honour and dignity of mankind. I have honoured them as I vowed I would many years ago with prayers on the spot where they died. The sanctification ritual was also performed which enabled me to begin the process of returning their spirit back to Biafraland from whence they came. Their spirit is with us and what they started on the creeks of Georgia delta we must surely accomplish on the battlefield of Hausa/Fulani and Yoruba lands. This year we remember all of them, all those that died that we may live. 30 May 2014 is the date. That day the world will hear about us.

I WAS KIDNAPPED BY MASSOB - Nnamdi Kanu's Account.

I was kidnapped by Uwazuruike on the 19th of December 2009. Uchenna Madu who is MASSOB (Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State Of Biafra) Director for Information led the kidnap party. They were told they were going for a rally but instead chose to come an kidnap me. Now I will outline again the reason for the kidnap so you and your co ignorant fools will know. Uwazuruike your master came to see me in London in the summer of 2009 and asked me to print Biafran Passport for sale. I told him no. I introduced him to Coleman Asomba in South Africa to coordinate our agitation but when he Uwazuruike got there they concentrated on printing passports. 

I also agreed with your master Uwazuruike that we should return to the ways of our ancestors which is rulership by an Elders Council which he agreed in London but did not implement when he got home. I am giving you instances so you will ask him if you can find him.

Uwazuruike rejected the involvement of Igbo intelligensia and failed to allow consultation to happen between us and Igbo elders. I received information through a source at Aso Rock that your master sold out the struggle to Nigerian Government and the deal was brokered by Senator Chukwumerije. 

I called Uwazuruike to tell him the information I received and he denied it. I travelled to Owerri with two of my members to confront him with the evidence we had. We went to his Works Layout palace where he agreed to meet us but he wasn't there. Before travelling to Owerri I addressed Massob members in Lagos where I made it clear to them that fraud will not be tolerated in the struggle.

Uwazuruike having realized what I knew refused to see us. After visiting PH to see Massob members I returned to London. People started calling Radio Biafra to enquire if the new Biafran passport was a legal tender as BBC Africa had carried the news. I gave them an honest opinion that Biafran Passport printed could not get them into the mythical 99 countries that recognized MASSOB. 

The criminal elements among you started calling me to threaten me and you wrote a letter to my father saying you had authority from Nigeria to declare me wanted. I have the letter. I ignored you and came home where you hired 10 buses led by Uchenna Madu to come and kidnap me. Yes you tore my clothes, spat at me, even had a mock trial to ascertain the whereabout of the Biafran Army that was then camped at Abakpa. 

You tortured me to force me to reveal who was sponsoring Radio Biafra and I told you that I used my savings to fund it which was the simple truth. During my captivity at Okwe, you told me how you kidnap people in Igboland. You mentioned a few prominent names I will mention in my book. You hungry ferrals stole my clothes, wrist watch and money. Some of you spat at me, some poured urine on me. You fooled them into believing I was a traitor to cover the fact that you people are the traitors. 

You tried to humiliate me in the hope that I will be silenced forever but you failed. In your stupidly you made a video tape of the whole torture and kidnapping in the hope of using it to blackmail me into silence. You threatened to release the video if I criticized MASSOB criminal activities again. Little did you know the video was the proof the world needed to confirm that MASSOB was a full time crime empire. You see how daft you people are, I knew you will come up with this which confirms in your own words that you kidnapped me then later Pascal Okorie and also Benjamin Onwuka. 

When MASSOB released me from Okwe, I took a taxi to Umuahia and was receiving attention at Ojukwu Bunker Guest House when SSS men came and arrested me. I never went to the police because I knew that as a freedom fighter, I cannot go to my enemies for help. I have rules I abide by. Nothing will make me ever go to Nigeria Police for help. It was Uwazuruike himself that told SSS that Nnamdi Kanu of Radio Biafra he kidnapped had been released and if they wanted to question me.

I was arrested yet again by armed men of Nigeria SSS. When I got to their headquarters at Ojike Street Umuahia the SSS Director's phone rang. To my astonishment it was Uwazuruike inquiring if the information he gave them was correct. I was amazed when this Hausa man looked at me and said I was wasting my time fighting for Biafra. He showed me his phone and there Uwazuruike's number was. I kept asking myself what type of freedom fighter would be so friendly with his oppressor. It was at that point I realized that Uwazuruike was working for Nigeria all along. 

So in conclusion, I did not call the police and will never call the police for a fellow Biafran not even if they come to kill me. Go and do your research. You have the video of my kidnap and ordeal, I challenge you to release it. That way we know we know who is lying. The worst mistake MASSOB made was to let me leave Okwe torture chamber alive. If they had the intention of continuing in their criminality they should have killed me. Biafra is the only reason why I live that was something none of you knew. You have sowed the wind now you will reap the whirlwind.
