The second coming of Nnamdi Kanu

Nnamdi Kanu has appeared again after 13 months of forced disappearance which was caused by the invasion of the Nigerian military at his Father's compound at Afara Ukwu Ibeku.

He appeared in a live Facebook video where he was shown praying at the Western Wall on the 19th day of October 2018. He will officially address Biafrans worldwide at 6pm. Biafra time on Sunday 21st October, 2018.

Biafrans has successfully boycotted the Anambra governorship elections.

Empty roads and deserted polling stations earmarked the Anambra state governorship elections held as more than 98% of the registered voters boycotted the election entirely. They instead sat at home enjoying the now famous Ofe Nsala. Pictures and Videos hardly lie.

It is equally important to note that some United Nations representatives were in Anambra state to witness the election boycott themselves.

We at Restore Biafra congratulate our people for a job well done. We are no longer part of the Zoo called Nigeria. We are one people.

Ozubulu Church killings and the tales by moonlight from Gov. Obiano and co.

It is quite unfortunate that about 30 Biafrans were today murdered in cold-blood while in a Church service at St. Philips Catholic church, Amakwa, Ozubulu in Anambra state.

Yet to be identified gunmen who did not ask for money committed this atrocity. A witness has reported scores wounded apart from those that died instantly and taken to the mortuary. The anonymous witness also reported hearing one of the assailants speaking in Hausa language.

However, conflicting reports emanating from the murderous Nigerian DSS and Gov. Willie Obiano has it that it was drug gang related incident. He said it was connected to one drug Lord residing in South Africa known as Bishop and his opponents.

We believe that the story is being politicised as the Anambra governorship elections is by the corner and the effort to denigrate the Biafrans and Biafra restoration project by some unscrupulous individuals.

We will update this blog as soon as we have more credible information on the matter.

[VIDEO] Fearless Nnamdi Kanu visits Ebonyi state, dares the Gov. Umahi

Nnamdi Kanu visited Ebonyi state with thousands of Biafrans in attendance. It could be recalled that the Gov. Dave Umahi of Ebonyi earlier warned that Nnamdi Kanu should not visit Ebonyi state because according to him, Ebonyi is not part of Biafra.

Kanu made this Ebonyi visit in order to boost the moral of the Ebonyi state citizens who are fully in support of the Biafra restoration struggle.

Nnamdi Kanu Wept at Nkpor where many Biafrans were murdered by Nigeria.

The leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra, (IPOB) Mazi Nnamdi Kanu today, May 29, visited Edmunds Catholic Primary School in Nkpor, Anambra state, the very ground where hundreds of Biafrans were gruesomely murdered by the Nigerian Military and security operatives on the 30th of May 2016.
On reaching the venue, he broke down and wept for the lives lost, prayed to God for their souls to keep and for the restoration of Biafra, which the dead paid with their lives.
This ritual he did, ahead of the May 30th Sit at home, being the observance and commemoration of the gallant heroes and heroines who gave their lives in the course of this struggle.
he also moved to Eke Nkpor, another ground where our people were murdered in cold blood by the Nigerian Security Operatives on May 30th 2016 and pray.

Urhobo Kings staging a walkout on Vice President Osinbanjo at the PTI Conference Centre, Effurun. 

In contemporary Nigeria, the Urhobo nation appears to be an endangered species not out of her own volition or because there are no persons to sustain the relevance of the race. Urhobo as a nation and a people in this contraption called Nigeria is in coma because there is a conscious move aimed at Urhobo into oblivion. The Urhobo of yesterday cannot be juxtaposed with the Urhobo of today in anyway. Urhobo political history is very rich and edifying, loaded with tales of how our fore-bears contributed significantly to the liberation, formation, engineering and re-positioning of what we now have today as Nigeria. 

From the days of the likes of Oshue of Orhuwhorun in present day Udu local government area of Delta State to the days of Mukoro Mowoe, Salubi e.t.c the history of Urhobo has constantly and continually revolved around service to humanity, south-south integration, patriotism and nation building. However, as these great men fizzle out, things seem as though the centre is no longer holding for Urhobo. The hope that the flag of Urhobo which these persons properly hoisted will continue to fly and fly steadily is very slim, if at all it does exist. The actions and inactions of Urhobo sons and daughters and sons of today clearly runs contrary to the pattern of our fathers, there is a steady decline in the quest to promote, protect and uphold Urhobo agenda. 

Urhobos now prefer to mortgage and betray Urhobo project for selfish purposes. The lure of office and money is now what is of paramount concern to some Urhobos rather than the overall and ultimate creed of the nation- unity. It is in recognition of this disconnect and painful distraction that J. G. Holland screamed thus, "God, give us men.... Men whom the lust of office does not kill, men whom the love of office cannot buy, men who possess opinions and a will, men who love honour and men who cannot lie". 

Urhobo is now a political pariah race, it is at the verge of going into extinction. In Delta State, Urhobo with a population of over 5.5 million people is the fifth largest ethnic group in Nigeria is no where to be found as far as the Nigerian project is concerned. In Nigeria the federating ethnic group called Urhobo is like a paper tiger, in the Niger-Delta, Urhobos are now lilliputans and in Delta State the race is in jeopardy- this trend is alien to the Urhobo people as it has never happened. Basically, Urhobo is politically battered, shattered, scattered and tattered. 

This decline that has engulfed Urhobo is steady and it is ascending geometrically. This plot orchestrated by enemies of Urhobo is daily been fuelled by the attitude of many Urhobo sons and daughters. Urhobo chiefs and youths are been used on a daily basis to suppress, oppress and depress the Urhobo vision, mission and targets. As I sit to take a quick mental appreciation of Urhobo in contemporary Nigeria, I cannot help but weep for just like the children of Israel, we are by the river of Babylon and they that carried us away into captivity require from us a song. Will Urhobo sing the songs of our ancestors in a strange land? Will Urhobo continue to gloat about as though all is well when she is in the well?

Nyako: moving the court date will not save Buhari and cohorts

Justice Binta Nyako has pushed the court date yet again to 9th and 10th of February. The later being the date for ... just to keep Kanu and co. in prison for another 30 days. They are treating this case as if it has not even started while it is almost done because they have nothing to hold against Nnamdi Kanu.


Can someone please reach out to this Buhari-selected judge to tell her this:


How far? Justice Binta Nyanko, are you now wishy-washy or are you standing firm as a judge? Have you seen that our leader Nnamdi Kanu and his group has no spot in them, that they are whiter than white and whiter than snow? That is why they ahead of you and your grandmaster BUHARI and also the Zoo called Nigeria. Or do you still have any other option to hold our God's sent leader Nnamdi Kanu? I want you to know that it is either Biafra or consequences will follow, period.

It is no longer business as usual as many Nigerians will always think "Give them money now and they will go and sit down", "They are fraudsters", "Biafrats" and all sorts of bad name-calling. Biafra is risen and nothing til infinitum shall ever stand in her way. Restoration is in full force.

Nnamdi Kanu: Ongoing court case and Justice Nyako's Lie

In the ongoing case, the Federal High Court seems to have contradicted itself in a ruling made on the trial of Nnamdi Kanu.

Visitors to the courtroom including journalists and security operatives were shielded behind a wall of fabric used to cover the lawyers, defendants, judges and witnesses.
Only one prison operative was shielded alongside others.

On December 14, the court had ruled that criminal trial against Kanu and three others - Benjamin Nwabugwu, David Nwawuisi and Chidibere Onwudiwe - commence today, January 10.

Justice Binta Nyako in her ruling said the witnesses that will be brought in by the Department of State Security to testify against the defendants will be protected.

Nyako had said: “The counsels and the defendants will see the witnesses. The witnesses will have special entrances to and outside the court."

"It is not going to be a secret trial," Nyako said.

She had also said the witnesses names will be protected and marked with alphabets.

However, contrary to its ruling on protecting the witnesses, the court during the trial shielded the defence and prosecution counsels, witnesses and the defendants from the public.

Meanwhile, before the trial commenced, a group of pro-Biafra protesters in Jewish garments had besieged the court, demanding that the trial of Kanu be in the open.

But security did not allow the protesters to enter the court – a situation which generated tension.

The world should be assured that, our next line of actions to redeem Operations Red Economy will be unannounced with surely overwhelming signatures to this government and humanity. The world is aware that, the government of Nigeria has ear problems but we never knew that it has taken a deteriorating deaf  level dimensions. THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT IS WORKING WITH MUHAMMADU BUHARI TO ADMINISTER NON-TRACEABLE POISON ON NNAMDI KANU TO STOP ONGOING DAMAGING VIDEOS AND CLASSIFIED INFORMATION LEAKS ON BRITISH GOVERNMENT

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) can confirm that the British Government is working in tandem with Retired Major General Muhammadu Buhari to stealthily administer a non-traceable poison on the leader of IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Our intelligence gathering team revealed that one of the reasons for embarking on this heinous crime by both the British Government and the serial killer called Buhari is to stop the avalanche of leaked videos and some classified information which incontrovertibly placed the British Government as an accessory to genocide on Biafrans. Another reason is to ensure that Nnamdi Kanu is dead before Mr. Donald J. Trump takes over as the 45th President of the USA. We have also confirmed that should the plan to poison Nnamdi Kanu fail, a phantom road accident will be arranged for the vehicle conveying Nnamdi Kanu to court on any of the court days beginning from Tuesday, 10th of January 2017.

What bothers us in IPOB is the fact that Biafrans are Christians and a sizeable proportion of whom are Anglican denomination including the parents of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, which was where they baptized and christened him “Kenneth“ or “Kenny“ for short. So, as a child and in accordance with Anglican prayer book, NnamdiKanu grew up praying for the safety and well-being of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles and all their heirs. But the question we ask the British Government is this; Why would Britain, a supposedly Christian country and a proclaimed member of the body of Christ, be supporting people of Islamic faith such as Buhari to kill Biafrans and enthrone servitude in Biafraland?

From where is this British Government hatred on fellow Christians of Biafran descent coming? Perhaps, the British Government must tell the world what we, Biafrans, did to them that makes them hate us so much. Is it because we accepted Christianity that they see us as inferior beings or is it the fact that we have English names that made them see us as people without a proud identity? Even the undersigned of this press release still bear their English names and append same on all documents both personal and corporate.

Why would the British Government want Nnamdi Kanu dead in spite of the fact that he is a British citizen? Or is it in line with the British Government’s standard practice of hating every African freedom fighter? Recall that both Margaret Thatcher and David Cameron called Nelson Mandela a terrorist and demanded he should be hanged. In like manner,  the British Government is now pushing for Nnamdi Kanu to be jailed by Buhari’s sister and incompetent Judge, Mrs. Binta Nyako. This hatred for African freedom fighters, especially those of the Christian faith, by the British Government is very surprising considering that these are Africans who willingly accepted Christianity. What is it in Islam that the British Government discovered which makes them abandon their fellow Christians and connive with Muslims to oppress and kill these Christians on a continual basis?

We would like to use this opportunity to caution the British Government to retrace their steps and terminate their plans to kill Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. We are also putting the world on notice that should anything happen to Nnamdi Kanu or those detained with him and elsewhere in Nigeria, the British Government shall be held directly responsible for their deaths. We reassure the world that the restoration of the nation of Biafra is a divine project whose time has come.

Both Muhammadu Buhari and the Biafra-hating British Government are incapable of stopping the restoration of the nation of Biafra and 2017 is the year that kick-starts the restoration process. To stop the restoration of the nation of Biafra, the British Government will have to kill over 70 million Biafrans who have sworn to restore their God-given nation.

We reiterate that the sovereignty of the nation of Biafra is not negotiable, come rain or shine!!!

The suppression and persecution of Biafrans home and abroad by the Nigerian government.

At the end of the Biafran War many experts came to the conclusion that genocide had been committed against the Igbo by the Nigerian government. In an effort to suppress the scandal, the Nigerian government with some help from Great Britain worked frantically to cover up the news about the atrocities. For almost fifty years that effort paid off. The crime of Biafran Genocide was carefully hidden away from the public.

However, today 2016 the agitation for the restoration of the defunct Biafran state is in the news again. This is coming nearly half a century after the country’s demise in 1970. After suffering a pogrom in which more than 100,000 of their people were killed by Nigerian civilians and various security forces of the Nigerian government, Igbo people with other southeasterners who also were affected in the killings declared an independent Biafran state in mid-1967. Immediately following the secession the Nigerian state levied a genocidal war of aggression that lasted two and half years against Biafra. With the help of Great Britain, USSR (Russia) and Islamic Arab states; all those countries supplied arms to Nigeria and the war resulted in the genocide of Igbo people.

The war was prosecuted with the declared intention of wiping out the Igbo from the face of the Earth. By the time the war was over a quarter of Igbo population, that is 3 million of them were further exterminated. About 2 million of the casualties died from starvation resulting from the Nigerian government official policy of “hunger as a legitimate weapon of war.” Almost fifty years after that horrific genocide which tends to have been largely forgotten by much of the world community, a new generation of Igbo people who are majorly Animists and Christians are reviving the call to free themselves and territory from the largely Islamic state of Nigeria.

A close look at most of the people who are championing the new struggle to separate Biafra from Nigeria reveals that they either did not witness the Biafran War or they were mere children during the war. For this reason some people have asked the question; why are people in this age bracket bent on defiantly reviving such a horrific episode and experience in their history half a century on. Some people have argued that it has something to do with the fact that the Nigerian government barned the teaching of history in Nigerian schools soon after the Biafran War. People were prohibited from mentioning the name, “Biafra” for many decades afterwards. The government wanted to hide the genocide permanently from public consciousness. As a result, subsequent generations which did not witness the war are unable to appreciate fully the devastating impacts of the war on their parents’ generation. But since the years following the war even the generations of Igbo people who did not witness it are being punished and marginalized by the Nigerian state. And this is part of what is fueling the independence protests.

Remembering how horrible the war was, people like the current Muslim President of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari who incidentally fought on the Nigerian side to defeat Biafra have asked the new agitators for a revived independent state of Biafra to forget it. Of course he did not find it necessary to express any remorse about the Igbo Genocide which he helped to orchestrate. He instead believes that the people will just forget just because he asked them to forget the heinous crime that was committed against them. Insensitively, the president went on to argue that the agitators are doing this because they did not experience or witness the war. This has made many observers to interpret Buhari’s highhanded response by killing the peaceful nonviolent agitators as his way of trying to teach the “inexperienced” agitators a lesson. In the past one and half years Buhari has rolled out, on many occasions, the full strength of his country’s military force to violently suppress the peaceful nonviolent Biafran independence movement.

The human rights organization; Amnesty International reports that since the advent of Buhari administration in 2015 till now – the tail end of 2016, Nigerian government has killed more than 300 Biafrans and wounded many more while they held peaceful protests for Biafra’s independence. Amnesty International says that many of those pro-Biafra protesters were shot and killed in their sleep and others while they gathered in churches to pray. Many of the protesters were shot and killed from behind while they tried to escape.

The fact is that the peaceful protests for the separation of Igbo territory (Biafra) from Nigeria has been going on since the year 2000. The group known as Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) had spearheaded these protests. Various Nigerian administrations before the advent of the present one in 2015 had used mostly the incarceration of the leaders of the movement in trying to deal with and suppress it. MASSOB’s former leader Ralph Uwazurike suffered many jail times in Nigerian prisons. Sometimes the MASSOB leader was detained for many years at a time. Apart from many of the agitators who are being killed extra-judicially by government forces there are some notable individuals who are being held in various Nigerian prisons just because they are agitating for Biafra’s independence. Some were snatched off the streets into prisons for merely wearing vests with Biafran insignia or just being in possession of Biafran flags. There are such people like Benjamin Onwuka the leader of Biafra Zionist Movement (BZM,) Chidiebere Onwudiwe whose home was invaded by Nigerian security agents in the middle of the night. He was taken away from his house at 2 AM and has not been heard from again since the last one year. Then there is Nnamudi Kanu who runs an online radio called Radio Biafra London (RBL.) These individuals except for Onwudiwe whose fate is yet to be known, can be described as almost lucky because Buhari’s government has not yet executed them and their cases have been celebrated because of the relatively wide media publicity they have attracted.

But there are many unsung pro-Biafra agitator-victims who are not as lucky. They are currently suffering various kinds of persecutions in many detention centers around the world. Some of these less known victims are being prosecuted in different courts of law in many places around the world simply because they demonstrated publicly for the independence of Biafra. These people are being deprived of their freedom or are being subjected to other forms of hardships and inhumane treatments because of their involvement in Biafran freedom activism.

Over the years many critics have complained that the Nigerian government has used some unorthodox diplomatic manipulations to influence how some foreign government agencies carry out their duties in its effort to suppress Biafra’s independence and hide the Biafran Genocide. Since the time of Biafra War till now, Nigeria has deployed its diplomatic tentacles across the world to make sure that those who agitate for Biafra anywhere are suppressed. We will cite two little known examples of those who are going through persecutions in so-called civilized societies like European countries of Norway and England.

Lotachukwu Okorie used to serve as MASSOB’s District Officer in southeast Nigeria before he emigrated to Norway, fleeing from persecution by Nigerian government authorities. On getting to Norway, a civilized society, he believed that his problems were over and his human rights would be protected. Unfortunately, he discovered that they had only just begun. In what looked like a remotely influenced operation the Norwegian government detained Okorie and charged him with illegal immigration crime. He was then detained for one year and six months without any conclusive decision on his case. According to Norwegian laws he overstayed in jail the period he was legally supposed to. Just before he was arrested, Okorie was so frustrated by the various dehumanizing treatments he was receiving from Norwegian security agents that he was driven to attempt suicide with a kitchen knife.

Another case which is fast becoming a source of embarrassment to the British government is that of Yahgozie Immanu-el victim of political persecution by British authorities that apparently are trying hard to please Nigerian government which it is believed are tele-guiding and influencing the current ordeals of Yahgozie. It appears that the British government is willing to compromise their country’s very reputable centuries-old national respect for the fundamental human and civil rights of all people simply to please the Nigerian government. Yahgozie is an independent journalist as well as a pro-Biafra activist who is based in London. He got arrested by the British police while he covered the recent official visit to Britain by the Nigerian President Buhari. He was subsequently taken to court on frivolous and trumped up charges that he was trying to attack President Buhari’s motorcade. Some eyewitnesses of the incident are still unable to understand how the actions of someone who only had a microphone and was trying to cover the unfolding events could have been interpreted as an intention to attack President Buhari. Yahgozie’s case comes up again in the City of London Magistrates Court later in this month of November. Many people think that the case is actually turning into an embarrassment to the human rights image of the British government.
